New York State Snowmobile Association Sponsors Big East Powersports Show

September 24, 2008, Long Lake, NY - The New York State Snowmobile Association (NYSSA) is proud to announce that NYSSA is sponsoring the 2008 Big East Powersports Show, to be held at the OnCenter in Syracuse, NY October 3-5. The NYSSA board of directors will meet on Saturday, October 4 at the show, and NYSSA will host a variety of informational sessions over the course of the weekend. “NYSSA is pleased to form this partnership with Affinity Events,” said NYSSA president Mike Fischer, adding “we look forward to kicking off the snowmobile season with this exciting weekend.”

As a sponsor, NYSSA will host an informational booth on the show floor, and will hold educational sessions on trail mapping, safety and signage, and grooming. Dave Perkins, NYSSA Trails Coordinator, will present an update on snowmobile trail signage. “We hope that snowmobilers attending the show will take advantage of our offering of classes,” he said. Perkins added that NYSSA works hard to advance safe snowmobiling.

The 15h Annual Big East Powersports Show, featuring snowmobiles and ATVs, will run Friday, Oct. 3 from 5 to 10 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Oncenter Convention Center in Syracuse, NY. Tickets can be purchased at the show and are $9 for adults, $4 for children age six to 12, and free for children under age five. Show producer Affinity Events has ensured a wide range of exhibitors will be on-hand to offer a variety of products for snowmobile and ATV enthusiasts’ various needs, interests and budgets, ranging in price from $5 to $25,000. NYSSA members can take advantage of a discount coupon in the September edition of the NYSSA online magazine.

The show will include the latest snowmobile products and accessories including the 2009 sleds and ATVs from Arctic Cat, Ski-Doo, Polaris and Yamaha. This is also a great time for Powersports Show attendees to take advantage of the pre-holiday deals for the powersports enthusiasts on their holiday gift-buying list. For those powersports enthusiasts who want to “go back to the past” a special display of vintage snowmobiles will be on display.
